This center which fosters research, academic and professional writing has been established with a background and a number of objectives. Actually university graduates, young teachers, and workplace writers need research, academic and professional writing skills for their academic achievements, publications and day to day assignments. It is a common observation and experience that these writers lack research, academic and professional writing skills. Therefore, when they are obliged to do research and write for their academic and professional progress and publications, they find their writing skills quite inadequate. Thus they cannot proceed with confidence. Their inadequacy and diffidence stay in their path as an unsurpassable barrier. With this background in mind, the administrator, who himself has served as a professor of English Language Education for a long time, consulted with his colleagues and experts and established this center. The aim of this center is to impart various skills related to research, academic and professional writing skills. These skills are required by the learning writers to produce research articles, theses and professional documents.
Thus, the idea of this center emerged.
